I thought I’d ruffle a few feathers this week. Actually, it’s Paul writing to Timothy about the church in Ephesus that’s ruffling feathers.
Do I think people often take scripture out of context to fit their agenda or prove a point? Yes. Is this going to be one of those situations? I don’t think so, but I’ll let you decide.
The verse my family is memorizing this week is 1 Timothy 5:8, “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
I actually have a LOT to say about this verse, the context, and the reason WHY I want my family to focus on it. It’s probably best if I explain my thoughts “in person” vs. writing, so be sure to check out the Week 39 video posted above!
