I hope week 42 is off to a fantastic start! Fall weather has reached Texas and it’s perfect for campfires, s’mores, Saturday morning soccer, and the State Fair!
This week I’m taking time to really evaluate what’s taking up space in my mind and guiding the choices I make. For almost two years now, it seems as though much of the world has operated from a place of fear. Fear of covid, fear of political change, fear of the unknown. But these are only just the latest culprits. In fact, for the last several years my business has given me the opportunity to coach people from many different backgrounds and life experiences, and I’ve discovered they all have the same thing holding them back from success: the fear of what other people think.
It’s awfully easy to let fear creep in and prevent us from living in fullness. But 2nd Timothy 1:7 says “’For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
As we press into this last quarter of 2021, take time to slow down and reflect on the key themes filling your thoughts. Actually write them down. Then, identify which of them are rooted in fear or worry and commit them to the Lord; remind yourself that those things are NOT from God. Replace fear from Satan with God’s truth, hope and assurance. May we each walk in power, love and a sound mind.
Have a blessed week 42!
Know you are loved,
