It’s week 45 in our 52 week series! My original goal when starting this series was just to write God’s word on my heart and spend more time in His word. That’s exactly what I’ve done, and I hope you have as well!
The verse for this week is Matthew 28:19-20. Most know this as The Great Commission. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
As I prepared for this week’s verse I was hyper aware that every person has their own view and definition of baptism. This inspired me to read the book of Acts! (I’m hoping you’re inspired to do the same.)
Jesus has told us to go make disciples… what does that look like for you? Are you leading by example? That’s exactly what Jesus did for us when he asked John to baptize him!
As we start shifting our focus to the new year quickly approaching, ask yourself how you can make disciples, and how can you live in a way that others are inspired by your example?
Know you are loved,
