You have the power to give LIFE to someone or crush their spirit. Think about the person you enjoy being around THE MOST. My guess is they give you life with their words. Think about the people you can’t stand being around; I bet they are spirit crushers.
NOW… take a second to think about how you talk to yourself. Are you speaking LIFE over yourself? Your family? Your marriage? Your children? Your friendships? Your co-workers?
Have you seen all the experiments and studies done on the effects of speaking negatively vs positively to PLANTS? They thrive in a positive environment and die in a negative one! How much more will we thrive in positivity?!
I think this verse in Proverbs 15 is a good reminder to SPEAK LIFE daily. Remember, the devil can’t hear the thoughts in our head. He’s nothing like God. The evil one is always whispering lies and speaking negativity and fear into us because he knows the power of a perverse tongue. If people heard you speak to yourself and others, whose team would they say you are on?! Speak life. Say positive things and speak God’s word OUT LOUD so the enemy hears you!
I challenge you to SPEAK LIFE this week! Ask God to give you opportunities to breathe positivity into others lives and give you awareness when you’re being negative, so you can put a STOP to that crushing spirit.
