New week, new verse!
Last week we focused on loving the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, as well as, loving our neighbor as ourselves. I challenged you to pay attention to how you talk to yourself and be hyper aware that Satan is constantly whispering the “you’re not good enough” lie in your ear because he knows if we believe him we can’t love others well! YIKES. I hope you continue to recognize these lies and feed your mind God’s TRUTH.
This week we are diving into the book of WISDOM! Proverbs is currently where I’ve been spending a great deal of my time. In James 1:5, it says, “If you lack wisdom, ask God and He will give it to you.”
Take a look at this week’s verse and be sure to watch the video above! If you subscribe to my YouTube Channel, you can see the weekly videos early. 😉
Not only do we need to love the Lord with all our heart… we need to TRUST Him as well. When we truly trust God, it means we accept His will for our life even though we don’t know His plans. (Read that again!) This is a non-negotiable decision! We might not know the plan, but we do know His commands! We have been given the Bible as a guide book! Along with trust is OBEDIENCE! We must obey Him. It’s important to be learning, growing, and seeking His wisdom. “Fear the Lord and shun evil” is very clear. Pay attention to what you allow to influence your life! Take a close look at who you hang out with, what you watch on TV and what you listen to. A good way to do this is to look at what gets your TIME. Would Jesus be ok with it? If not, it might be time to “shun” that activity! Yes, Jesus hung out with tax collectors, prostitutes and sinners… but Friend, you are not Jesus! (I explain myself in the video.)
God is TRUSTWORTHY. We can trust Him with our lives knowing he is our Shepherd and will keep our paths straight.
Praying peace, comfort, and clarity over your week. Friend, please don’t forget that you can email me anytime with a prayer request. I’m thankful for you.
Know you are loved,
