Did you know you have a calling? Well… you do. God has a purpose and plan just for you. Check out what John 15:16 says!
How you live matters! Every moment we choose how we act and respond to the world around us. Those choices and actions say to the world who we are and who we belong to.
This is the hard question… Are you living a life worthy of the calling you have received? Remember what God thinks about you? (I’ve included a document I recently made for a retreat that will remind you exactly what God says about you. Read it!) God has BIG plans for you. You are capable of doing INCREDIBLE things!
Now, do you feel a little overwhelmed with your calling?! The reality is that we are imperfect. We will make mistakes, but by the grace of God, we can still fulfill His purpose for us! Don’t feel overwhelmed by your calling. God tells us exactly what we need to focus on. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
As I memorize Ephesians 4:1-2 this week, I will be asking God to show me opportunities where I can practice humility, gentleness, patience, and love.
Love doesn’t allow hiding. Love invites whole stories out into the light. Honesty with others about our imperfections and brokenness AND the grace that makes us whole, invites others to have true connection. True connection with one another and with our Father. The freedom that comes with honesty is transforming. Share your story this week, and allow someone else to share theirs.
YOU are worthy. You have a calling and a purpose.
