It’s week 46 of 2021 and the Holiday Season is upon us! I know the holidays can feel busy, overwhelming, exciting, lonely, crowded…the full spectrum of emotions. As we navigate the next few weeks, let’s remember that the devil wants us to be busy and distracted because it disrupts our joy, presence and our ability to reflect on the gift of the season. Let’s not fall into that trap.
To help us keep things simple and centered, we have a short memory verse this week: Luke 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God.”
The practice of keeping noise and distraction at bay – maintaining space to reflect and focus on what’s most important – will be helpful as we look forward to the New Year and the days ahead, too. I want to make sure to lay a foundation of faith in God. Below are some questions in a printable format that I’ve been using as I look back and plan ahead. I hope they’re useful as you take the time to reflect and refocus, moving forward with appreciation and gratitude for the gifts and lessons you received in 2021 and as you cast a vision for 2022 grounded in faith and guidance from the Lord.
